Glorious Goodwood race 2 is Daring Daves full brother, interesting to see if he has any of his speed...

He had William The Brave (Bravuras full brother ) well behind that day
Problem with betting the short ones in the baby races in this region is there is that many well bred rivals you can never write them off
But the favourites Debut run was well and truly franked on Saturday

Just watched the replay of Gyre beating Hero Quest last time
Hero Quest was very eye catching and imo will be very hard to beat today with any progress

RACE 1 HARAKIRI - Ran on well after being slow away on debut, will know more today.
RACE 2 LORD BALMORAL - Sparkling debut( run been franked) should be hard to beat.
RACE 3 HERO QUEST - Eye catching run from the back of the field last time
RACE 5 ELUSIVE STARS - Well drawn today always interesting when Grant Van Niekerk rides for this yard.
RACE 7 BLARNEY BAY - Blew up on 1st run after a rest, can go close today.

Sunny day, no wind.
Competitive, well filled card.
Race 1: Tricky start to the bipot with a number of these babies having shown up well on their debuts, plus some first timers to consider. All of 2,4,5,7,9,14 are possibles.
Harakiri and Nanna's Rock are my weak preference.
Race 2: Lord Balmoral will be very hard to beat, but not much value in the price. William the Brave should improve on his fair debut, but was many lengths adrift. First timers likely to fill the places with him.
Race 3:Hero Quest is first choice here. He is improving steadily and is a possible banker. Megasecret, Tropical Heat and Gyre won't be far off. Due West is not consistent, but has draw 1 and is ew value at a juicy price.
Race 4: Celtic Charm gets my vote, but all of 2,3,4 have chances.
We have Chestnut Glows making her debut- she has taken a long time to come to hand, and is expected to need the run. Small place chance.

Race 5: Competitive handicap. Nima has good form, but a bad draw and is a long striding sort and would probably not be suited by the short run in. Elusive Stars has had a busy career, but cracks a plum draw and is the one to beat. Any one of 9,10,11,12 would not surprise.
Race 6: Another difficult fillies' handicap. We have brought Sun At Midnight back to the sprints- I have always assumed that she would be more effective around the turn, but was very disappointing when sent over the mile last time, albeit not well ridden. At best she can win this, and her work has been good. Tumbles has good form and should be involved in the finish. boomtown Belter consistent and should be included. Queen at War is well in at the weights if running anywhere near her best.
Race 7: We have Blarney Bay running. He has come on from his last good run, but has to go the extra 200m today. The short run in will suit. Has a fair ew shout. The one to beat at the weights is Star Chestnut. Our Icon and Catside Slew have nice draws and competitive weights to carry. Kilrain and Spirit of Hamilton can never be ignored.
Race 8: Hardest race on the card. If This is Sparta was not drawn in the bush he would be a strong fancy on his good run in the feature race, but he will need luck on his side today.
A useful roughie with a decent draw is Saint Roch.
