I'm a big fan of Lohnromance. She impressed me so much on her penultimate run. Dunno what happened last time, perhaps too far but I have to give her another chance. Stole some of the 8/1 on WSB. Into 9/2 now. If she wasn't in this race, then I would have went for Chevauchee. She's classy.

Race 3: Due West couldn't beat the draw over further last time , back too 1400m with a decent draw, could be value @ 7/1
Race 6: Anglet has been finishing strongly in his races recently, Danielson will suit and could outrun them all late here @ 5/1

Was looking at the 3 feature races and in race 5 I'm going to row in with Neala. Oddly enough this horse was 10/1 (last night) when I placed the multiple, see it is trading around 5 - 6/1 as we speak. That's encouraging as someone else also thought the 10's was a big price. The favourite, Chevauchee, being a one time winner, the price of 18/10 is a bit skinny. My fancy is a three time winner and is only conceding 0.50kg to the favourite, so I feel it's worth taking her on.
Race 6, acid test for Captain's Flame. The draw is a concern, so I'm hoping Domeyer can get across early enough and pinch this at the top of the straight - Old Course, shorter run in. Whilst her last win was against her own age group, she jumped from a very wide draw and prevailed, so that's encouraging.
Race 7, Marinaresco, if the stable are harbouring thoughts of this horse taking his place in the July, then nothing less than a victory today will count, that simple.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

There are some short priced favourites today that can be opposed for value.
Race 1: Studiolo and Pride Rock can upset William Longsword.
Race 2 Moonsaballoon is better value than Rock on Wood
Race 4: Florrick is huge value against Carrie Bow.
Race 5: Double Whammy is a huge price. I would include her and Lhonromance

No one else think Whisky Baron done it the hard way last time ? 1kg and extra trip and someone to race with must make his price way too big?

^ I see your point and he could win no doubt. But then surely Marinaresco did it the hard way too? 2nd or 3rd last turning for home in a big field - cruised to the front then seemed to tire a bit but still won with authority. Distance short of his best, remember his finish in the Derby. Coming off a 3 month layoff while whisky baron was racing fit all plays a factor. Sure he'll be fitter today and love the extra but one thing against him is the short run in I give you that.
I think Vilakazi will be a big threat too, with a better draw than last time.
