"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Wednesday 28th May Workings....
17 years 1 week ago
Afternoon,
This afternoon completed, and went as follows....
The 1st runner we wanted 2.1, and with getting 1.99/2.00 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.0 max. The lay started slowly and never looked like winning, so a good result........
The 2nd runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 2.14 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so they got away with it.......
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.2, and with drifting to around a big 5.0 on arrival and not coming back down to us at any stage after mails were sent, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'........
The 4th runner we wanted 3.1, but a non runner and 5.6% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.98. The price was around 2.7 on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 2.7 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result............
The 5th runner we wanted 2.1, and with drifting to around 2.14 on arrival and then coming back down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.1 max. The price then drifted like nobodys' business out to our own price of 2.4 and way beyond, so a chance for traders (builders hit and finished) to have a 'free' lay before the race. The lay/trade reared up as the gates opened and lost a lot of ground, couldn't get back into it and finished a well beaten last! So strange betting - the drift justified - but glad we got on early and a good result..........
The 6th runner we wanted 1.8, and with getting a well supported 1.77 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 1.77 max. The lay finished a nicely beaten 2nd, so a good result.........
The 7th runner we wanted 2.5, and with being around 2.86 on arrival - being around 15 minutes away, all strategy play completed, and only a bit of trading left on offer - I'm leaving it there and will get on to this evening's workings. Good luck traders with the remainder...
WELL PLAYED....
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 2 targets................They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on their 3rd lay (the 4th runner)..............They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 5th runner, and hit their 2nd target on their 2nd lay (the 6th runner), and with running out of enough potential lays left to start another strategy/target, they end the session winning two targets...
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.0 max, and a good result see 4 runner builders hit their targets....
5 runner builders needed a little more and went to their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 1.7 max, but a poor result see them give a bit back...........They then had their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.7 max, and a good result see them hit their targets...

So builders made light work of things and got the wages nice and early, and well played. Rollers too had a decent session and won a couple of targets, so well played and speak soon with this evening's workings...
