FORTUNE - injury is the cartilage between the ribs - very painful, takes forever to heal - hope he doesn't do the "fatty" thing in meantime.
STRYDOM - was here with us in the lapa last night. The bone has healed but lifting the arm still an issue.
HERHOLDT - broken finger.
GEROUDIS - eye problem. Detached retina. Creates problems with depth perception. Probably won't ride again in races.
MEINIE - arm/shoulder injury - lost part movement . Taking very long to heal.
NAUDE - also broken finger.

Thanks Goose
Was just looking at some top trainers stats and they seem to have gotten worse with the lack of a decent Jock, the Woodruff team are desperate for a jock imo

Woody one of my fav trainers but as you mention Bob, needs a quality young up and coming jock for the stable.
Murray not doing too bad and Chase riding the odd winner for the stable now and then but he needs a consistent jock that can ride on par with the likes of Khumalo , Delpech and Marcus on a regular basis.
Hasn't had the best of stock in the last couple of years and on Saturday Alexa possibly his best runner on the day with Arch Rival with Lerena up.
Me thinks he needs to spread his wings and lure a top young jock up to the highveld where possible, someone like a Aldo Domeyer, Grant van Niekerk or Keagan de Melo. The latter riding with a lot of maturity and confidence lately.

Very sad to see Geroudis in such a situation. Mienie also been out for many many moons.
How do these sidelined jocks get by if injured for a long time.........medical boarding or temporary disability or some kind of insurance that covers them for disability?
