Gold Circles Polytrack with regards to a racing surface is fantastic but is very limited to the amount of horses that can be run in a race, the same applies to the turf surface.

I have got to the stage that I am considering not taking Jackpots, Pick sixes and PA,s anymore. How many have I caught and not even received my money back. I cannot remember when last there was a carryover Pick 6 at Greyville, maybe last year July?

There must be a way that Gold Circle can widen both tracks in the straight from the 400 meter mark to accommodate more horses?

I realize that punters who back favourites on the nose must be over the moon but what about us Exotic Tote punters?

Any suggestions as I love my Durban racing.

welcome GP. Can't give you much feedback as I prefer nil carry over for the pick 6 and I do punt on the nose.

Well todays Greyville Payouts was more towards your liking :)

Dont know what the exact statistics for Greyville are but generally the other artificial surfaces around the world has produced upset results, even with smaller fields.

Maybe the PA dividend may have become smaller at Greyville but you still get your big Payouts on all exotics. The Quartet falls under an exotic bet, the second race at Greyville, the Quartet paid R2879, the favorite won in a eight horse field...

you need to adapt your structuring of bets it has nothing to do with the above..its clear you not aggressive enough in your exotics in that you are playing the safety first approach...its a gamble have a go if you like a horse strong banker it don't add for the sake of it..

I too have cut back my spend drastically -too many returns below stake ......Greyville poly racing has become a "have an interest" center for exotics ........any serious bets for me,are fixed odds bets only!

i have made big returns at Durbanville with even smaller fields.
Look at last week
BI 9,10x4,6x1,7x3,6x1,4x2,6 1566.90
JP 3x4x2x6 7211.90
PA 4,5,6x1,7,8,9x3,6,8x1,2,4x2,5,6x6,9,10x1,9,10 81.80
P6 1x3x4x2x6x1 317691.00

I think perhaps dividends may be contracted in KZN sometimes not because of the field size but because one jockey has a 26% strike rate and seldom goes home without a winner.

Mr H. True that and not forgetting he does not price up the horses. The bookies do.

Almost everything he sits on is either favorite or there abouts. The man has earned his right to get the cherry rides even though he picks his own rides. (From what I am lead to believe he has no agent)

Personally if I fancy a horse on form and then if I see that the jock is him I confidently offload. Granted does not always win however mostly.
