Ugh Bob, you got me excited, I thought you going to show me a video of Mohaymen. Running this weekend in the Fountain of Youth Stakes.

Oh well. On another note, Abashiri, grandam, Fashing, was the dam of, Yard Arm, who ran second in the first two legs of the SA Triple Crown to Surveyor before winning the SA Derby :)

In the Triple Tiara She's A dragon's dam is a full-sister to Cerise Cherry who ran second in the first two legs and then i think 7th or 8th in the Derby. I believe he got a 500k bonus for the most points in the series.

Further trivia, is that Champagne Haze, dam Vin Fizz, was the dam also of Pierre Jourdan, who won the first two legs of the Triple Crown but was beaten in the last leg by Irish Flame, who was the horse of the year in that season.

Not impossible that Champagne Haze will exactly repeat the efforts of his half brother

In the first leg of the Triple Tiara, picked up three interesting runners,

Alexa - The dam of Alexa, Alexandra Bi, has produced, Pavlovich, who ran third in the Classic and second in the Derby. Also Alexa is a full sister to the top performer Alexandra Rose

Christmas Carol - The dam of Christmas Carol, Night Diva, ran third in the Fillies Classic and second in the SA Oaks to Icy Air. Incidentally, Night Diva beat Limerick (Dam of Noah From Goa) who ran third in the Oaks.

Polyphonic - The grandam of Polyphonic, Young Polly, has produced Young Rake, who ran third to Triple Crown winner, Horse Chestnut in the SA Derby. Also Little Fox, who ran in the SA Oaks has the same grandam.

Hoping he wins the Guineas Frodo but can't see him winning the Classic. 1600 is his optimum I think and some of the runners will get better the further they go.

Nice bits on info Naresh, keep them coming.

This bit concerns the overseas bred runners.

Brazuca sire, Teofilo, and New Predator sire, New Approach are both sired by English Derby Winner, Galileo with New Approach being an English Derby winner as well. Princess Varunya, sire, High Chaparral, is an English Derby winner as well who incidentally shares the same sire of Galileo, Sadlers Well.

Ravishing who just sired the 4th Race Winner at Durbanville, Ravishing Lad, was a former SA Derby winner, who ran 2nd in the Guineas and 5th in the Classic. Coral Fever who is carded in the Guineas, his grandam, Crimson Lily, is also the dam of Ravishing. Crimson Lily, also produced, 3rd place finisher in the July, Red Badge, and Greyville 1900 winner, Dynastic Power.

Interesting to see VISIONAIRE has two runners in the fillies race - impressive from a first crop and both have already recouped their purchase prices . A sire to watch - Vilakazi is a colt that i think has a small feature in him also.
