So Kanonkop won,but...

I think this is the first time in all my years in racing that I've backed a horse that's broken through and gone on to win.
It's high time the NHRA implemented the UK rule of horses that break through should be scratched.
The vet okaying the horse at the start very rarely works out in punters favour.
What you think?

It is a big disadvantage for the horse and connections but if I was the owner would rather have it run as nothing worse that going through all the various steps to actually get a runner and then watch it getting scratched at the start
NO to answer your question but the discretion of the vet must be the call

When the jockey hung onto the horse i should have known that it would win as usually they just let them go after they come off.

A few decades back some Azzie filly ran the course after bolting prior to the Cape Fillies Guineas I think. She was declared fit and went on to win. (What was her name?)

I have always wondered about the expression "passed fit to run"..............racing is a competition and runners need to be fit to compete ,which isn't necessarily the same thing ................I am sure that facts and figures were used to implement the UK rules .........................and rules should follow the norm ,not the odd exception .......................just what I think!
