Lakahal (R5) backed in from 16/1 to 4/1.
Anyone heard anything or have opinions?

Well that news has pretty much ended my interest in today's racing! See it is now 5/2 at Hwood. My personal opinion is that 14/1 was a particularly stupid price. Lost many lengths lto and went down only 3l, on collateral form has every right (on that run) to be right there. Would have been my major bet of the day and was "praying" it stayed in double figures until at least the UK markets open up. Sadly, not to be. I will now hope it gets beat, it is no sure thing though (to those not in the know at least!) and wouldn't touch at the current price.

Not a bad price now seeing that both Now You See Her and Shine Bright are out?

lol Frodo, perhaps but a) not really my usual kind of price and b) when you are looking at taking 14s, even with the scratchings, taking 5/2 is too much of a rasping pill for me to swallow!! lol
I didn't have it down as a "definite" win bet anyway, had it as way over-priced imo and one to have a go on. Would rather look elsewhere e/w now.

What looked an easy card, has become much more difficult with the scratchings imo ....Abashiri and Tip of the Glacier the obvious banker candidates in the P6, but I'm going to abstain from that bet .........not a lot of value imo as they would be everybodies' bankers ........and the way that Abashiri hangs out worries me a bit ......maybe Striker can hug the inside rail and pull off a surprise....... also Tale of the Glacier 3 yr filly ..........older geldings like Il and Piper Arrow may not be totally out of it

R1 Think Angels Of Mercy will give Inaninstant most to worry about
R2 Ha Lucy
R3 Not convinced about the fav, prefer Gaggle e/w
R4 Zen Master
R5 Shame about the deduction on Shine Bright as didn't fancy it anyway... Lakahal with Black Opium and She's A Flirt thereabouts
R6 Agree with Mr H, think Imperial Gold will come out best of those behind African Ruler lto, not a great start and some major traffic issues before finishing strongly though perhaps not at full revs. Hard to beat here on that run imo (have a look lol) but competitive field, Will Pays may prove the biggest danger with Lerena retaining the ride off a break.
R7 Rocky Stallone
R8 Abashiri x Trading Profit
R9 Tip Of The Glacier x Il Duce
Trying the double Imperial Gold (nap) x Lakahal (gets me the 14s on Lakahal anyway, though not quite the same lol
)
Be(s)t of luck to all
