30/1 treble with BA, SJ and SM ?

Plus the definition of "TOP" horse is cause for concern via a racing publication

why was the derby moved out of met day???? not many features on met day they should have had one huge blockbuster meeting including the million dollar race would have had massive massive pools...

Seventh Plain has looked like hes not the same horse and has the draw to beat, would probably brass

Silver Mountain was doing all her best work in the 1400m race she won at the finish and probably needs further imo ( ran like that in the Cape Guineas)

RS replacing a boring Derby with a grade1 sprint is probably adding to the day ?

The Derby has always been my fav race on the Met card as the 3 year old male division is a great pointer to the feature races in KZN. I feel like taking that particular race away would make the day a little more ho hum for me.

I'm not a huge fan of sprint races (ever since Tommy was retired :D), so the replacement with a sprint race doesn't blow my hair back!

But the Cape Derby is usually a very good pointer to the KZN season, stayer or not, won by stars in the past.

Not saying this year is the same but there could potentially be a July winner in there?

It makes no material difference when the race is run just my enjoyment of a particular day's racing that has sentimental value to me.

Looking at the Derby now, Rabada will be hard to beat at the weights , but he didn't really look like he was staying on that strongly , the winner was at least a length behind him with 200 to run and over another 200 m would probably be even stronger imo

I feel like Black Arthur has the scope but for me the best formline would be Brazuca. I think he was staying on the strongest in the Guineas and we all know what NFG has done in the QP.

At 2/1 he isn't really a betting proposition right now but I'll wait to see what HW offer about him.
