Futura was given a 'champagne haze' run in the rising sun gold challenge, Legislate won't beat Futura based on that run. I'm personally putting 5 in that leg of the P6, I don't want to pick a winner.

Clearly remember Futura only getting going very late in the race and without being overly extended, finish 4th just over a length behind Legislate. Most smelt that rat, including dummy here, and backed Legislate.

Listening to Fayd'Herbe's post race interview after the last race on Wednesday, Futura will be having a full go and is the one they all have to beat, sounded very confident he'd win.

Maybe trying to emulate the Pocket Power achievements of winning the Queens Plate/Met double for a few successive years.

With all due respect to Bernard, he's never sat on Legislate - he doesn't know how good he is. He has to be confident of his horse's chances, who wouldn't be? He's riding last year's winner.

Legislate was having a full tilt for that race but remember it was after a similar 6 month layoff just like on Saturday, I assume he'll be having a full tilt again.

MOMF, it would be naïve to believe Bernard has not worked Legislate considering they are stable companions. With Futura being the exception in the Gold Challenge, i.e. not having a full go, look back and see who Legislate has beaten in the come back runs you refer to? Ashton Park and a returning from problems Willow Magic. Think it's fair to say Legislate was expected to beat those horses with no disrespect to the respective owners. The calibre he tackles tomorrow is much stronger, it must be said.

Anyway, this is not intended to talk you out of backing your fancy, as always, I am just sharing an opinion, I hope Legislate wins for you.

I know they are stable companions and realise that - however I am just going off Bernard's twitter - don't think I've ever seen him put up pics of him working Legislate as he does for Futura but this could be because he rides Futura. I see what you say but if you look closely at his opposition, there isn't really much unknowns. Legislate has beaten Captain America on numerous occasions before, Act of War failed to land a blow last time so I'm ruling him out on that. Noah is too young for me just yet. The only unknown is Legal Eagle who's better over further, surely. That just leaves Futura who is the main danger, I'm just hoping that Legislate is at his best and then he should win IMHO.

But if he flops, then I hope Futura can pick up the pieces for you Bayern and the others on him as he is a fantastic horse.

I know Behr is the stable jockey but surely you leave Randolph aboard after he won the July on the horse? Some things I'll never understand

I would suspect Behr knows that horse better than anyone barring KN as he's ridden work on him for years and won on him also. Behr also knows the course way better than Randolph does.

I'll write a full written apology when Power King wins a grade 1 under Behr, just think there'd be a bit of loyalty to a guy who takes a 20/1 shot home in the biggest race in the country, maybe I'm just too nice but I'd attach the jockey to the horse if it won the july on it, even if Orffer managed to weasel his way onto the winner

I think King Of Pain is a way better ride than Power King in this race

I also fancy Legislate to beat Futura over 1600m. Also not leaving out Noah from Goah

Agreed, Ramsden loves the horse and obviously shows good work at home because he always talks the horse up. Well I guess Randolph will probably get the ride again in the July and maybe the Met, I just think it'd make more sense to have consistency on a top horse.

Why is there no betting on the other races tomorrow yet. So annoying... usually the betting is out a week before a big race day

FUTURA is so overrated IMO, he's won only one (NARROW WIN - Hardly Impressive) out of his last four starts and been favorite on two occasions, I seriously believe that some punters enjoy getting a good old wallet hiding. Quite honestly I'm relieved that I will not have to hold my breathe on this one tomorrow.
