"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Monday 19th May Workings...

Afternoon.
This afternoon completed then, and went as follows.....
The 1st runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 2.04 on arrival and then being withdrawn, we simply moved on to the next runner....
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.48 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won a battle, so a good leave.........
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.2, and with being around 1.5 on arrival and not coming down anywhere near our lay price at any stage at all, it was another race for us all to avoid. The runner went and won, and so another good leave.....
The 4th runner we wanted 2.2, and with being around 2.72 on arrival and getting bigger, and bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner weas beaten, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'......
The 5th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 2.36 on arrival and only getting slightly bigger, we all had to avoid yet another race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner (returned 6/4 sp), but more importantly another good leave.....
The 6th runner we wanted 2.4, and with drifting to around 2.52 on arrival and just getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so glad of the drift now and yet another good leave...........
The 7th runner we wanted 3.5, and with being a non runner, we moved on to the next runner.....
The 8th runner we wanted 3.2, and with drifting to around 3.5 on arrival and getting bigger and bigger, race to race players had to avoid yet another race. The runner went and won, so glad of yet another drift, and yet another good leave..........
The 9th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.98 on arrival and although dropping down (hit 1.71 rock bottom), we never see a penny matched at our lay price, so yet another race for us to all avoid. The runner went and won, so yet another good leave.......
The 10th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.7 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.7. The runner went and won a battle, so yet another favourite wins and the way it goes.....
The 11th and final runner we wanted 2.8, and with being 3.45 on arrival and and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner lost out after a battling finish, so 'one that got away this time'........
VERY WELL PLAYED....(2 from the first 2 (100%) went and won - and 7 from the 9 (77.77%) in total (2 Nr's) - So for all strategists to break level it was a very good effort, and well played guys)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them)..............................Well, they/we never got to kick a ball with running out of enough potential lays to start a strategy - however! with all those winners and missing them, it was a good result to break level, so good disciplined stuff guys...
'Bank builder' strategy/target players had the same happen to them, with running out of enough potential lays to start a strategy/target, but again they'll settle for that with avoiding all those winners, so well played guys, good discipline...
Traders went all afternoon bobbing and weaving to keep a level head, and so it was an almighty shame that they had to concede a little on the 10th runner at 2.7 max, but with all those winners they'll look back and think it could've been much worse...
So, it doesn't get much tougher than that with all those winners, but very pleased to say we dealt with it very well and came away with our satchels untouched! So very well played and good discipline guys. Speak soon...
Marc.
