WSB Brackenfell
9 years 6 months ago
Had a great experience when visiting the new WSB in Brackenfell. Management very friendly and the racing section has a good mix of experienced and new staff.
The racing section is not very big at the moment, but im glad that this will get a little bigger in the near future.
Also they have been waiting for their liquor licence to be approved and this is apparently 1 or 2 weeks away.
They made me feel welcome and the prices on offer is very good compared to some other bookies.
Hope to meet up with some clanners there soon!

Alcohol and Gambling just don't go together
There is a reason why they set up pubs in gambling houses.
In Australia they have a bar on the one side and the bookie on the otherside. I have seen guys lose their weeks wages in 20 minutes because of the easy access to the bar. People don't care or should I say put little thought into putting money on a horse when inebriated. The more they lose the more they are convinced that they can get it back on the next bet. Off course their are responsible drinkers, but even if its just one guy who loses all his wages because of drinking and gambling its one guy too many.

If you walk into the bookies room with your weeks wages you are the problem, not the booze or the gambling
