with all due respect nobody was questioning the ride on the winner and well done to the Shams! but anyone with half a brain can see i have actually seen old ladies more vigorous on zimmerframes in shopping centres than on the 2nd horse - anyway at the end of the day our opinions count for nothing so all these questionable rides there is always a big hoo haa on the website and then you hear nothing

After reading this thread, I remembered BOB posted about how pathetic it is that horses are entered into races as a prep run...
Now I am not for 1 minute saying that AF was right or wrong, but if you look at the previous race the horse ran, he returned from a rest, only to be given another rest... Maybe he was given instructions not to push the horse due to recent previous injuries... Maybe he rode the perfect race (as he was told to do). Yes it does not help the punters pocket, and yes it leaves a bad taste in the mouth of a lot of the racing fraternity, but their is always a chance that he was listening to intructions, regarding either a future race target or the wellness of the horse....
Anyway, well done @ the shams racing, and Karl on his recent wedding... Keep the winners flowing...

Watched the race twice. I thought that the winner was very hard ridden and that Zechner could have possibly have been charged with excessive use of the whip.
The new rule being that the whip hand must not go above shoulder height!

I have watched the replay for the first time as I did not have a bet yesterday. I am not talking from my pocket, The ride was diabolical he never tried an inch.

Another punter talking from his pockets
Craig,I highlighted it straight after the race and I backed the winner.
I thought the Shams one would get beat,if you had Betfair and there was the in-running market,Fortunes ride would be all over social media.

If the stipes did the basics and just compared the effort put into a few rides today and compare it with the Land of Meadows ride, it would be race over. Commodore Al a good example, he pushed the horses ears off to run a place never mind the win
