Yeah, but not a buy back
Looked very nice both in the ring and on gallop. Maybe another decent one to watch next year. Dam and second dam have bloody good wins/runners with lots black type
Lots of nice horses went for less than expected I thought.
Think some bargains to be honest, if there is such a thing when talking horses

Pretty understandable as 'full brothers' and 'full sisters' seldom frank the performance of their better performed siblings and are often more hype than substance.
Despite the steaming piles of marketing bullshit to the contrary buying a yearling is more luck than science so you are always better served by buying a cheaper lot with a solid conformation and a sound pedigree rather than a flashy yearling which, on paper only, looks to be a world beater.

One of my favorite broodmares of all time is their grandam, Tawny Red who produced Rudra, Set Afire, Aquila Rapax, amongst a whole host of winners and her dams have produced numerous winners. Tawny Red dam, Port Wine, produced Royal Chalice.

Lots 46 was a good buy i thought.
Lot 108 may be a good buy as well
Mayfair bids are ridiculous. bought 12% of the horses and 22% of total spend tonite. joke

Becoming very difficult to buy one of the top horses at Cape Sales.....
Anyway, Qantas have nice comfy flights. .....
We walked away with R2M not spent. But very happy with our two horses - Lot 31 for R125k and lot 54 we bought from the Breeder afterwards for R100k.
