Stall handlers Mauritius
9 years 7 months ago
Have watched a couple of races this morning and i must say they do a brilliant job, everyman knows his job and no groups of guys standing about scratching their arses ..
Maybe they should send a team from South Africa and ask them for their advice?

What is strange is that Mauritius is rather French and in France they have to be worst handlers I have seen trying to load horses

I don't think the stall handlers are the only thing we need the assis from our mauritius friends, their stall handlers are leaps above ours, their pre race meeting press releases are top notch compared to ours. I don't think I have ever seen a meeting where their course is not atleast 85% full.... Should a jock be in shit for x and y, decisions are not drawn out for months on end.... Imho, our racing fraternity need to take a good few leaves (maybe the whole blady tree), out of their books.....

What amaze me is that the same SA horse that have starting problems never have that problems in Mauritius.
Starting times is always on time.
Watch the punters at the finish line how excited they get.

I did stall handling
. My job was called a "monkey" - I had to hold down the head of a specific horse.
