it was on Betfair... I was asking for 65s plus on a 50/1 horse from about 5-10 mins before the off I think, wasn't happening. Feverish late activity saw a Betfair SP of just 24.3/1 compared to the tote's 43 and an SP of 40, the place market also got hit, price was well below that of others around the same market price.

It never got to a price on Betfair that was reasonable for me to take.

They don't just keep their "games" confined to the SA market, as I have said a few times...

Put a few cents on acaciawood just for interest. Running against stronger but got half a feather on its back and might just be able to get away.

Serious rebel worth a rand @ 25/1 eway. Taken exacta with the 1 for another rand. Just for interest until the proper racing starts next race.

The first race runner, Ante Omnia, was bred in the USA under Klawervlei Stud. The sire, Speightstown, win ratio on the turf in the UK is 16%.

R4 is the most interesting race of the day for me, just because of the way I study form I guess. The best horse imo, on runs around this distance to date at least, is probably Secret Seven but has a lousy draw, whereas possibly the next best two are Elusive Thought and Arabian Winter, who are drawn 2 and 1 respectively. Of the latter two, I think Bob is right and, but for having to check and start again around 100 out, ET would likely have won lto, beating AW in the process. If ET can get handy then his finishing kick may be too much for SS, assuming the latter has to come from the rear. Race doesn't necessarily end with them though. Wingered is 40s to AW's 4/1 and there was very little between them lto, though that was at Durbanville and AW is now much better drawn. Still, the price difference necessitates an R1 e/w gamble on Wingered. Was hoping for some Bass comments, but alas it was not to be today, as I think Limpopo River will be an improver over this distance and also think that is quite likely with Dontknowhy. Have nibbled at both given the prices and have done them in very small exactas and trifectas with Wingered. I think it will finish ET x SS x AW but nothing would surprise me too much here. Anyway, now I have knocked out 6, you can choose the winner from the rest ;) lol
