R3 Southwell Rushvale E/W. Forget his last run as the saddle slipped. His previous third at Worcester reads well in the context of this race and this former Irish bumper winner can go well in a race which is probably not as strong as it looks on paper. 11/2 is a fair E/W price with only six runners.

R4 Thurles Pleased As Punch E/W. Consistent mare who looks to have her ideal conditions today in a weak race. Nicely handicapped and can make the first four at least at an appealing 15/2.

No denying it's been a tough day today.

R7 Chelmsford Draco's Code E/W or place only. Emirates Comfort will go off as an odds on favourite here and will probably win, but she represents poor value and the selection wasn't all that far behind her last time and should benefit from tonight's longer trip. 15/2 is a fair E/W price and evens or above (is currently evens with Betfred and BetVictor) is an outstanding place only bet with three places being paid and only eight runners.
