Due to steady rain over the past 24 hours, soft underfoot conditions and with more heavy falls predicted for Saturday, the meeting scheduled for Scottsville on Sunday, September 20, has been moved to the Greyville poly track.
All race times remain the same with Race 1 off at 13h05. However, the distance of Race 5 has been reduced from 2400m to 2000m and the distance for Race 6 has been increased from 1950m to 2000m.

Trainers will be given the option of scratching their horses because of the change of surface and there may also be eliminations from the first two races as they each have more than 12 runners at present.

If I remember rightly Greg even the original Poly meetings had a token or two turf races, nowhere to be seen now... most of the poly races I've seen at Greyville have been small fields with a red hot fav, and the race all centres around that one horse, the only question is will it live up to the hype or flop, the rest of the race is like a "b" movie!

Don't know if you remember but they abandoned a meeting for Scottsville earlier in the year (or maybe last year) and replaced it with a Greyville meeting later in the year, poly I believe. When I asked why they could not have rearranged it for Scottsville I got no answer.

which would be fine if the treatment didn't seem to take 360 days per year! :silly: lol

Was well supported last time in the early betting if I remember correctly

The drop in trip will probably suit but take the winner out of the scottsville race and it was a very poor maiden imo
