Have to agree ................(although I'm sure this is a controversial subject)
I have an autistic son and in the early days,my ex-wife thought anything goes,in any circumstance, and it's OK because he is autistic................used to piss her off telling her WE have an autistic son ...............doesn't mean everybody else has to put up with his autistic behaviour!
Some parents are oblivious to how irritating their bloody kids are!............my son is adorable, but believe me ,you wouldn't think so!

As somebody that has to fly every single week, I can tell you that this is a "cultural thing".
To date I have never seen a non white getting "so agitated" by a crying/misbehaved child.
Such a situation is as often as stressful for the parents as those around.
I believe that if somebody gets that pissed off, particularly on a short flight, it usually is because they are grumpy farts in general.
Tolerance is a great virtue, although not all cultures would seem to feel the same way.

I thought he (if he's initials are JR) would be more tolerant since he has two young children.

Depends on the Age of the laaitjie.. if its like a infant and its crying cuz its teething or something its purely understandable and hard luck to everyone on the flight.. if its some 5yr thats crying because it can't get its way and is trying the emotional black mail on its parents.. I say give em something to cry about.
Worse is if you are sitting in a restaurant and the kids crying for last 10min because it cant have a toy/ice cream, then i feel like stripping my moer and donnering the kid and parents.

All humans of every race are biologically programmed to react to a child crying- After looking at the child and assessing if it needs help people then react either by helping or becoming angry if the child is crying for no good reason. The sound of a child crying is there to alert adults to its need and is a sound that is created to causes irritation to the listener, similar to an alarm clock . If this need is unfounded then any normal human will become agitated as the primitive instinct within us wants to stop the noise to protect the child and tribe from predators. Race and colour have zero to do with it.

you cant blame the child for crying and screaming on a plane. I am sure that we all cried and screamed at times when we were children. Blame the parents who cant control their children. How many times have i experianced this and the parents just ignore the child. Its as if the parents are doing it on spite.

When the plane starts to descend, particularly from a very high altitude, my ear drums pain me. I have often thought if it affects some small kids the way it affects me.

Some still cry and scream now, think of all those United fans over the past few seasons.
