Sportingbet

Hi guys and gals I'm new to this site but already find it exciting and very good information. Hope to find out something I experienced today on Sportingbet. I'm still learning so please excuse me if I appear stupid.
I have placed an E/W treble with Sportingbet. La Digue x Sheik's Diamond x Pennington Sands. I got R2416/R100, obviously in case all three horses won. Two horses won and other was placed and was eventually paid R153. Is it possible for such a big difference when only one horse was placed.
I appreciate any feedback.

copy and paste your bet and i`ll explain it to you
PS the win part of your treble is beat, you only have the place part of your treble

places for those races were 1/5 of the win odds.
La Digue - 5% deduction (number 5 scratched)
Pennington sands/educated dead-heat - odds divided by 2
and finally the small tax deduction that applies to your winnings.
R153 sounds right.

dead heat was for 1st place that part of the bet was already a loser, there was no dead ht deduction for the place part of the bet
