bookies are claiming the opposite, mostly graft take early bets

I tend to disagree with the bookies. Due to work constraints on a week day I always take my bets a day prior to a race day. If the betting is out on race days, I will not be able to punt on week days.
They need to satisfy their customers needs, I think if it was any other business they would consider what is convience for their customers.
It seem like customer is king does not apply to racing.

basically the bookies are closing their doors for business to their customers and you have to ask would any other business do that?

Agree with pirates here. I can't be bothered if someone takes the early price. Good for him. He either had the graft or studied early. Why should he not have an upper hand.
If I choose to only look on the day and have missed the early price I must deal with it.
How we do not have an exchange in this country is beyond me!

We could quite easily price up races with our ratings and do so easily spotting false favorites all day long,

I only punt early so that's another reason for me to stop betting racing, what I have been told is the bookies have realised they win more from lotto and sport so are encouraging that front and couldn't care less is punters get a bet on racing or not
Like one engelsman has done once you have enough reasons not to gamble, get out and for most that reality must be sinking in quickly

I amazed if bookmakers taking bets on lotto numbers, can be legal ................and if it is, through some technical loophole ,I'm sure that's about to close!
