RA DOING GREAT JOB air your comments

In my opinion the RA are doing a great job well done t Clyde Basil and his team.They ar trying to look after the dily visitor at the racecourse zand we know have wireless internet fantastic value food a topclass racing venue at Turfontein.

The vaal needs abit o a shakeup.
Not enough facilities on public holiday certain rooms wer not open ad left dirty .
Service at RA room meaning Kelvins restraunt is ok but can be better ,he needs more staff.
All in all well done to Larry and his team and also well done to Clyde.

Guys the weather in Brazil is great and i a off to see a few yearlings on a day trip of about 800 kilometers so from Brazil s the say catch you later.

Compared to the days when the clubs were in healthy competition with each other and were striving to give the best possible racing experience....
the RA are NOT doing a great job.
However, I would agree with you that the present administrators are not necessarily the villians that they are sometimes painted to be.

Henny I think most will agree with what you say. And indeed praise for the pluses will be forthcoming.

Where there is disagreement, is the way certain 'bigger' issues pertaining to corporate governance, transparancy etc. has/continues to be handled.

For which TS has taken a lot of flack. However as Cuckoo says on another thread, TS has been consistant on the need for certain issues to be addressed by those at the top, notwithstanding some have taken umbridge at his particular stlye of communication.

So, yes Henny all is not 'doom & gloom' and the basis for an improved industry is there.

I personally live my life on the basis that the 'glass is half full - not empty', it certainly helps to try and see the positive and possibility in most situations.

Afternoon Jim and well worded input.

I don't think Clyde has an easy job, but I am convinced that he wakes up every morning enthusiastic about what he can do to improve racing and from "my racing experience" can report that going to the track, gets better each week, so I say keep up the momentum.

From the darker/larger issues that TS has put much time and effort towards uncovering, I am not sure if some legal procedures are still following their course?

It would be easy for me to request lets sit around a table and be transparent, but with the nature of the communications, this probably wont take place? but hope I am wrong?

It might be a better topic to ask if "you" were in charge of the RA what would you have done different to Clyde as its far easier to criticize rather than be constructive and positive with regards the future.

So from my side, just hope that the promotion and protection of local horseracing is still a priority? and not been replaced by personality clashes.

I think the RA have done great job as far the entertainment in the RA room.
Its a pleasure racing there,and the horses arent treating you well,then you got the honeys to admire.
Whoever is responsible,wont mention names incase leaving someone out,keep it up.

morning scotia i think that if u personally contacted clyde or larry and suggested a meeting which perhaps only u initially attend as the spokesman for abc and in a way of decency all round by this i mean u are not trying to embarass or insult them in any way but trying to iron out certain matters in the interst of racing i dont see why this should be refused

big dad it is trouble shooter who has all the queries so by not inviting him to the meeting will not help at all..let larry and scotia draw up an agenda for the meeting so clyde and larry have the answers or info at their fingertips and take it from there...

thank u pirate i understand what u are saying about trouble but their is nothing in trouble drawing up a list of queries that he has and gives them to scotia provided that the queries are applicable to the current ra and not matters that are the responsibility of the previous ra committees

it is pretty clear from your resistance to troubleshooter being allowed to attend the meeting that many if not all of his queries have substance..your suggestion shows cowardly behaviour ..let the 4 people thrash out the issues once and for all ..is this to much to ask
