July Ante post

Hi guys, sorry if this is a silly question
What happens if there is scratching now after the final field is announced. Will bets struck during ante post before the final field also be subjected to a deduction?

Works like this (I think), but get confirmation from your bookie.
The run and deduction rule applies ONLY ON THE MAIN RACE once the final field was announced.
So if you had a bet on say Futura 4 weeks ago and he gets scratched, your money is lost. Conversely, if you backed him today and he gets scratched next week Monday, you will receive a refund. Any bets struck after the announcement of the final field will be subject to a deduction, however, any bets taken on another horse 4 weeks ago which made the final field, is not subject to a deduction.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
