Moving to Cape Town

9 years 11 months ago
#560929
After living and working my entire life in Johannesburg, the wife and I have decided to sell up and emigrate to Cape Town. Our townhouse has been sold and we need to be out by end August. I have a daughter who lives in Tableview and we have put an offer in on a property
in Woodbridge Island. Could any clanners assist with advice on the area? Thanks

If your daughter lives in Tableview then you will know Woodbridge Island is a brilliant choice
Welcome to Cape Town :cheer:

...on the other hand you could have made a straight swop with Andrew Fortune

Woodbridge Island once used to be a dog friendly beach. I hope it still is.

Nice

A friend of mine owns a restaurant there (The Beach Tavern), great burgers and over 100 different beers on sale.

Not a fan of Cape Town.
In the afternoon the mountain creates a lot of shade.
Very windy.
ocean to cold
people drive to slow

give me gauteng any day

oh oh oh and their are a lot of capetonians living there. and they have a strange nasley accent can be quite annoying to try understanding them.
