Thought it was a strange ride on Futura...also wonder about the strength of the race with Willow Magic rated at best a 110 (current 103) and Bezanova rated at best a 107 (current 105) and Night Trip rated at best 101 (current 101) running within a length of each other and within 2 lengths of Legislate...

Will be interesting which horse is used as line horse and what penalties, if any, will be incurred and impact, if any, on July weights...

It was indeed a very good prep run. He was drawn wide and found safe passage. He made up many lengths on good horses who were not stopping, on a short straight.

Much of the criticism is based on the trainers comments, which was probably a diplomatic way of picking the more likely of his 2 stars, and the mostly unsubstantiated belief of some of his fans that he is superior to Legislate over any distance.
