Keep them coming imo the more the punter knows the better...
The wagering accounts of interest to Racing Victoria (RV) stewards’ in the Baron Archer inquiry include, it is believed, an account in the name of Tania Hyett, the partner of suspended jockey Danny Nikolic.
It is reported on www.thoroughbrednews.com.au that RV chief steward Terry Bailey has confirmed the betting account of Hyett is being investigated in relation to the inquiry.
Stewards launched the inquiry into the betting patterns around a beaten favourite Baron Archer in a race at Echuca on March 8th. They became concerned with the betting trends in the race, where the $2.80 favourite came third in a five-horse field.
The four-year-old gelding was laid heavily to lose while stewards later became aware, although trainer Jason Warren had not informed them before the race, that Baron Archer had undergone a throat operation before resuming at Echuca.
Bailey said other than the Echuca Cup, which was held on the same day, there were twice and up to three times as many bets on the race than any other event on the card.

Why do we not follow the same protocols as Hong Kong? Jockeys & Stables phones & finances closely monitored & all betting when there is an anomaly is investigated?
