R1 million Rand bonus
10 years 1 month ago
Tarry looks like a certainty to pickup up the bonus for the highest earner of 2013 book 2 sale
He trains 1st and 2nd on the log and way clear
The joke is that he never bought Sirens Call the log leader
Bought back by the breeder and sent to him to train
Whats the story about good horses finding you not the other way around

While the incentive was put in place by the sales company to boost trainers' interest in the sale, and hence to boost turnover, it is not just about picking a horse. While trainers may be involved in buying and selecting horses, that isn't what this is about.
The award more importantly recognizes the actual job of training - ie. getting the most out of a horse. Obviously the horse must have the inherent ability, but Sean has done a fantastic job with Siren's Call, and thus thoroughly deserves the sales bonus. The fact that he was not involved in selecting her is irrelevant.
