R2 Aintree Bristol De Mai E/W. Hargam will go off a short priced favourite, but he doesn't have much in hand of the selection on form and had a hard race when third at Cheltenham. The selection, who is the only Grade 1 winner in the field, comes here fresh after missing Cheltenham and can make the first three at least at a very attractive 17/2.
R6 Aintree Claret Cloak E/W. Looks to have been specifically laid out for this, having run very well in the race last year. Has been rested over the winter (doesn't like testing ground) and looks primed to run a big race on today's much quicker going. 10/1 a very nice E/W price with four places being paid.
R4 Taunton Superb Story E/W. Won on his hurdles debut and has run creditably in two very hot races since. Will like the quickish going and will find this much easier than his last two assignments. 7/1 a good E/W price.
