Rob is a owner (horses with his brother Colin) a punter and more importantly he has a passion for the game and he knows what the punters want...you can expect huge improvements with him at the helm...
Give everything but up!

Mac when you compare turnovers it is not difficult to see that your liking of Zim racing is not shared by most punters. The Kimberley and Zim chirp is tongue in cheek I realise that they won't be disappearing quickly, but we can all have our own wish lists cant we?

I can live with Zim and Kim but

Ngong and Sweden a no go ( give us dog racing, I have had my say on the reasons on numerous threads over the years )

Delighted to hear this as he is a racing man ................
a) I know how much Rutherford's hands were tied and he never was allowed to "run the show" so I hope Rob has cleared that in advance
b) what was Rob doing ,business wise, prior to accepting the position?

for over the air

Rob is related to Trainer George Scott who has forgotten more about horses than most people will learn in a lifetime. i imagine going up in Bloom Rob would have spent time with Uncle George at the stables and the farm.
His father Tommy is very knowledgeable horse man and business man. Spent many days drinking COKE FLOATS at his restaurant in Bloem.
As far as i know ROB held a very senior position at EDCON for many years.
This is a very good appointment to get TELLYTRACK going forward.
i wish him all the best

as for my wish list

Julie to wear shorter dresses and more revealing tops. Not negotiable
Remove Darren scott and his silly bow ties from our screens.
Give Andrew Bonn more airtime he produces some amazing video content on horse racing way under utilised.

Negotiate with DSTV to include tellytrack on one of the drifta packages, these are affordable packages at R50 a month and will give the lower end of the market an opportunity to watch the races live?

Ota i see uall about turnovers flamgo was given the monday raceday to accomadate the punter that have a few bob left after the weekend racing. If u have a look at fairview pools when they race on a monday u will see ther is nt a massive pool boost. In as far as flamigo closing down that will not happen in the foreseeable future.
