Chaps thoughts please.

I know r5 is a MR 80 and therefore some decent sorts around. But strictly on times over the c/d Irish hall strikes me with some possible place value at 50/1 for a win. Over the c/d when winning its maiden from a similar draw Irish hall posted a time one second quicker then the likes of zoo biscuit on the run behind naval intelligence on 16/01 and is now 12 kg's better off thanks to the apple claim while zoo biscuit is off the same weight.

I'm not saying Irish hall is a good thing. Merely stating that he does not have terrible c/d form and caution will be advised in this race.

Colin over this kind of trip , times are usually only a guide to what kind of pace they went , a crawl v a good gallop etc

GALAO - If he likes this track he wins- LE SPINNAKER comes from the same formline
www.formgrids.com/subscriber/fgRaceResul...-02DE485,ZA&hs=GALAO

Super GREEN - The winner went on to down Ovidio a few days ago and Le Spinnaker franked that form by already running second on PE debut - I know the stable has a bad rep with hotties that should not lose in PE but really this should win and i will live and die with him as a bi-pot banker. COUNT ZAFONIC is the swinger horse for me and his biggest danger

Gogetthesherrif has run 3 times on the poly for 2 wins and a 2nd his current form on the Turf shows he is well and more than capable of carrying 63,5 and winning

Col, Bob is of course correct to a degree but, with regards to times, to me it is important you look for consistency and reasons for "one-offs", whether they be good or bad. I rely a lot on times and draw cos I simply don't have the horse knowledge of some of the excellent posters you get here.

Specifically regarding Irish Hall, I have had R10 at 50s, the horse generally runs consistent times over this c/d but possibly the most important indicator to support IH is the run back on 26th Sept when he was only 1.25l behind Zoo B and is now 9kgs better off. Badger's Trail though won that race and is 5kgs better off - no appie - with ZB. BT beat IH by 3l. I have also had R10 on BT. Whether you think the stables concerned have had dips in form since etc thereafter though...

The problem for me though with the above is that I think all three mentioned may struggle to hit the frame lol Personally I'm with Taarish, though I am a little concerned that the blinkers are going back on. I see King Of Indians as the main danger.

Titch, if you are going to do an over-sell please confirm your facts lol ;) I am pretty sure GGTS has run 4 times on the Poly, winning 3 and running second once. Think the issue may be that Formgrids only shows 3, they seem to have a problem with meetings that are switched from turf to the poly, in that they continue to show such meetings as "turf" when they should be "Poly". Think you will find when GGTS beat Kono in December that was also a Poly run.

Still not convinced he will best the Shams with that weight though ;)

Thanks for the comments English and Bob. As English points out though. My argument is not solely based on times. I just feel IH is capable of another win based on the runs mentioned. Whether MR 80 is too high though is a distinct possibility. In the words of none other then you England I will have an idiots R1e/w at the odds.

Thanks gents. Looks like a nice pa day for me.

All the best.
