Greyville canter down ( or lack thereof )

When the horses go down to the pens for a 1600m race or beyond they don't canter past or even walk past the main stands. They exit the chute and run off towards the start. The only chance for anyone to view their fancied runner ( or to make a late selection ) is to see the horses backsides as they run away. The TV camera can't even keep up with them. It's bad enough from the general public stand and terrible from the members section.
They always do a proper walk past/canter past at Scottsville and did so at Clairwood too.

Does anyone know why this is so and how it can be addressed ?

A detour past the stands would not even add five minutes...
