If my sums are right the purse for the hong kong derby is R28m,probably all the 3yo grade1`s in south africa added together

Variety clubs mile there was fantastic but if you watch the race again and watch Able friend you will see he didn't have the best of runs and still came flying up when the race was over . Given better luck in the going he would not have been far off Variety Club, which doesn't diminish VC's run at all. Just makes me think Able Friends run was underated.
