"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Saturday 26th April Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows.....

The 1st runner we wanted 3.3, and with getting around 3.2/25 on arrival, we had a lay at 3.25 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.6 and slightly beyond, and so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten after a 4-way battle for the line, so a good result.....

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.56, and with being around 3.1 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, after the probable winner fell at the last, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave......

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 3.25 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, it was another race to avoid for all. The runner didn't put up his best and was beaten, so the drift justified, and 'one that got away in hindsight'.......

The 4th runner we wanted 2.2, and with being a well supported 1.78 on arrival, we had a lay at 1.78. The lay went and won a battling finish, so the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....

The 5th runner we wanted 2.5, but a non runner and 11.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.33. The price was around 2.12 on arrival and went shorter, so we had a lay at 2.12 max. The lay went and won, so the gamble landed and the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it......

The 6th runner we wanted 2.1, and with drifting to around 2.12 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.1 max. The lay was beaten after a battling finish, so a good result......

The 7th runner we wanted 2.9, and with being around 2.98 on arrival and then dropping down to us again, we had a lay at 2.9. The lay was nicely beaten and so a good result......

The 8th runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 2.28 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.1 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......

The 9th runner we wanted 2.1, and with drifting to around 2.76 on arrival and not coming down to us again, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner went and won a battling finish, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave.........

The 10th runner we wanted 3.0, and with drifting to around 4.3 on arrival and with only getting bigger and bigger, and bigger, and not coming down to us at all at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten (didn't run 'that' bad) and so the drift more than justified, and 'one that got away in hindsight'.......

The 11th runner we wanted 1.4, and with being around 1.52 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won a battle with his stable mate, so a good leave.........

The 12th runner we wanted 2.7, and with drifting to around 3.45 on arrival and not coming back down to us, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though......

The 13th runner we wanted 2.6, and with being around 2.56 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.56. The race is over 10 minutes away, and so with just a bit of trading left on offer with all strategy play completed, I'm leaving it there and taking a break. Good luck traders with the remainder...

WELL PLAYED.................(3 from the first 5 (60%) went and won - 4 from the first 9 (44.44%) - 5 from the first 11 (45.45%) - And so an awkward session, but pleased to say we came through it well, so well played guys)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 1 target.............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a good start, they then had to battle, and ended up level after their 4th lay (the 6th runner) and so stopped there with being level and now no room at all for error..............They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 7th runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 8th runner)...........They then ran out of enough potential lays to start another strategy/target, so they end the session winning 1 target....

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit........They then had their 1st lay (the 4th runner) at 1.78, but a poor result see them go behind.........Then came their 2nd lay (the 5th runner) at 2.12 max, but a poor result see them go further behind........Then came their 3rd lay (the 6th runner) at 2.1, and a good result see them break level, so 4 runner builders end it here with being level and just one potential lay left.....

5 runner builders played on and had their 4th lay (the 6th runner) at 2.9, and a good result see them hit their targets.....

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10

Total bank now £410

1st lay £102.50 to win the £90 needed @ 1.73. Result negative. Lose £66

Total bank now £344

2nd lay £114 to recoup the £56 @ 2.12 max. Result negative. Lose £63

Total bank now £281

3rd lay £140 to recoup the £119 @ 2.1. Result positive. Win £119.

Total bank now £400

So with being levels and now no room at all for error with just one potential lay remaining, it's always advised to take the levels and walk.

Overall result. Level.

Total bank now £275

3rd lay £137 to recoup the £125 @ 2.1. Result positive. Win £125

Total bank now £400

4th lay £200 to win the £100 target @ 2.9. Result positive. Win £100

Total bank now £500

Overall result. Target hit.

Traders have either won, or broke level on all their trades, so well played guys and good luck with the remainder...

So another tricky and testing session out the way, and although 4 runner builders broke level, they'll take that with those early winners. 5 runner builder got the wages though, so well played guys, and so did rollers, and so we did a decent job today between the winners. Speak soon, and good luck traders with the remainder.......
