UK & Clonmel Thursday

R2 Clonmel Venitien De Mai. Has a small amount of ground to make up on Vedettariat on Thurles running last time, but should be suited by today's shorter distance and less testing ground (was odds on at Thurles where Vedettariat was 8/1). 7/4 not a bad price in what looks a match between the pair.
R3 Huntingdon Tango De Juilley. This is a match between the selection and Mountain King. Tango will be much better suited by today's right-handed track and can win this the expense of Mountain King who did not strike me as a natural chaser on his debut over fences last time (although could improve for the experience). Evens seems a very fair price (is a 4/6 shot in my book).

R6 Chelmsford Bint Dandy E/W. Has run consistently well since coming over from Ireland and this race could be run to suit with both Miniskirt and Maggie Pink liking to race on the front end. The selection will need to settle a bit better than last time, however, to see out the mile. Has a decent chance of being in the first two in this five-runner field and 4/1 doesn't represent bad E/W value.
