Training partnership suspended after two positives for caffeine
Paul Joice - 20 Jan 2015
The licence of training partners Michael Cornish and Donna Gaskin was suspended for four months by Racing NSW stewards at an inquiry which was concluded on Tuesday afternoon.

The Cornish/Gaskin partnership had two horses test positive for caffeine at the Berrigan and District Race Club meeting on November 1, 2014.

The two horses, Mary’s Discretion and In The Cash were disqualified from their respective fifth and first positions and the placings amended accordingly.

Cornish and Gaskin were advised of their appeal rights.

Funny how the smaller trainers get the big elbow straight away, but the larger ones just keep operating as per normal!

another case of Battlers get time and wealthy get a fine(maybe)Carrots and Bananas got time, Darren Smith got time, these pair got time, Waller, Connors etc get a fine.....be interesting to see the penalty handed down to O'Brien, Kavanagh and Moody(if any)........I mean their horses returned over the limit, there is no doubt on that.....it is only a matter of them proving the fairies at the bottom of the garden did the deed.....I would like to know how many of their horses returned a reading just under the limit...ie between 100 and 200mmols from my research anything approaching 50 is suspicious....200 would be like a blood Alcohol reading of .5...you'd be paraletic
