Easy to get carried away with Frankels etc
But this was a machine
Hey mate, this machine must have had a few parts that needed oiling.
Although that was a great performance, the race record is 21 races,16 wins and 5 defeats.
Frankel won every race he ran in and to put Frankels name in the etc category shows your limited knowledge of the thoroughbred.fair dinkum

Hey Mike his 1st defeat was in his very first start over 6 furlongs where he almost fell after being badly impeded, his 2nd 'defeat' he actually won the race and was controversially disqualified and his only other defeat was a prep run for the Derby again over a distance way too short for him....the rest is history ...So fact is that Frankel does become an etc candidate when talking about this super star....fair dinkum
Give everything but up!

Hey Cobba, take a captain cook at Frankels race record,he won 10 group ones, won races from 7 furlongs to 10 furlongs.
Your baby lost 5 races from 21 races. Then have a gander at your boys opposition and ammount of runners he faced.
Your sounding like one of those flag waving yanks, don't believe the hype mate. They have overdone that horse with superlatives for years mate.Go have a tube of cooley and look up each ones record.

Now,another superstar to eclipse them is Phar Lap.
Won The Melbourne Cup carrying 9 stone 12 lb and won 18 weight for age races.
Then had to carry 10stone 10 lb in next Melbourne Cup.

To borrow a phrase, it was 'Secretariat first, the rest nowhere' as America's equine legend joined the immortals with an astounding 31- length ...[/quote]
"ECLIPSE first, the rest nowhere"
