Did some further 'studying' (man I love the holidays 
):
I think in the 2nd Mr H could be on to something - River Empress fair debut and saddle slipped last time - lack of betting support a slight worry though
Unparalleled much too short imo - according to Juile, the trainer is saying that there is 'not much' between U and Astro over 1160 - that tells me U is not that strong - for me I think the 3yr old filly Spanish Dawn put up a great debut and is the value - KZN maiden Moi Power suggests that SD could have plenty of play and her rating may be too low
In the 5th, Rodeo Sioux is well in under the conditions of the race - should really not miss the first 2 imo - I think Heart of a Lion is not a 96 and has stamina doubts anyway and S'il Vous Plait has not won for quite a while, so I make the only danger Taarish, who is improving after a rest and could give RS a real race
In the 6th I make Virgo's Babe good value at 7/1 - but Ha Lucy has run to 103 in my book last time and could prove hard to catch.
In the 7th Bichett looks the right one at the weights, but here I rated Drifting Dusk's last run much higher than 88, so look good value at 9/2
Karraar faces some useful opposition in the last, and while he rates as the one to beat imo, he could face some stiff opposition from Mr Mulliner, Glorious Victory and Mac de Lago - but the value here imo is Tip a Champion - fair run when setting the pace last time in a Conditions Plate - wide draw, so he will probably come from off them tonight.
