Well done to the Track Manager. The track looks amazing, lets hope it stays this way until the Vodacom Durban July.

I know some dislike the poly ( me ) but using the poly more than expected for the next year or so and good track management should sort the Greyville turf out once and for all

funny I have just come from greyville and I took a walk where the horses come out the chute onto the strip of grass and then go down past the entrance to the golf club and it looks like the bok rugby scrum has been practising there...only photos taken of grass that has barely been used in almost 2and half years shown here from the drill hall to about a furlong before the winning line ...what amazes me is how people just accept the situation with the grass track which according to the race program will barely be used in future..taking into account that we down to only 2 racecourses I salute those owners and trainers in the industry down here your patience with the operator is commendable...

There we go Craig ! Hehehe un-frikken-believeable ! Not as though they dont bring it on themselves ?
Well at least the rest of the track looks great, maybe we can move the winning post ?
Time is also running out for the growth period of the grass but hey we have the poly !

Cool
I'm not defending anyone , but it poured on Friday ( the meeting would have been abandoned if grass )and every horse that ran walked on that piece of grass

Why is it that every time a report which does just that - reports something that actually happened - the responding posts almost immediately degenerate into an 'us vs them ' argument? Or the messenger is hung, drawn & quartered and their motives questioned.
Does it follow, therefore, that we should erect a wall of silence around every bungle or contentious, controversial & unfortunate incident? Or better still - accept any 'spin' put out by the erring party?
Craig, here we have the same thing.
Why must Pirates be attacked !
This is Bullshit.
He is posting what he saw.
DO you and Neigh not believe him !

It is amazing how Bob can sit in Scotland and know and better understand what is going on at Greyville than people who actually live here and go to the course!
