operators use your brains

yesterday and today the bipot starts with an unraced field of 2yos whereby the first leg on both days could have been workriders events where there is plenty form for punters to go on...another example of sheer mediocrity and total lack of understanding of the punter :silly:

Over the years I have watched plenty amateur races and while some are good riders, with some I would rather take on the punting with no form! :

I agree 100% - you cannot turn an exotic into a lottery for no good reason - Run the babies first - In this tough market you must try everything possible to keep punters happy and this topic has been raised every year for ages.

Pirates. From what I can deduce, you have been punting for many years.
Are you now trying to tell me, "The horse doesn't know who is riding him", "The horse doesn't know its Strydom on his back. "The horse doesn't know he is 13/10 favourite".
You have made my day ! HA HA HA !!
Makes me think of the Joke :
A three-year-old boy was examining his testicles while taking a bath.
"Mom" he asked, "are these my brains?"
"Not yet," she replied. “Not yet !”

surely whoever decides on where which race will be the first leg of the bipot they can see yesterday and today that there was strong form in the race to make the workriders race s the first leg of the bipot..the results of both workriders races went to form ...what these non racing punters who make decisions for racing don't fcuking grasp is that NOT EVERYONE CAN WAIT FOR THE LAST 5 MINUTES TO PUT THEIR BIPOTS ON AND LISTEN TO TRAINERS COMMENTS AND WATCH THE BETTING MARKET...MEDIOCRITY CONTINUES

I think it us close that these races are taken off here. Wrong type of race in my opinion anyway.

Pirates is spot on here.
Craig, juveniles are difficult to find at the best of times, let alone the early ones in a Season. What separates Racing from Lotto is form. Whenever we can, we must give Punters that option.
Overall up here, our work riders are very competent and results are quite fair. One problem could be the numbers in the jockey room, as these extra number of jocks are there just for the one race. After the first, they leave.
However, the message must be clear - deal with it ! Allocate an area for the work riders. Simple. Structure the card to suit the best interests of the Punter.
