Conditions Race Bob..
3yo get a basic weight of 52Kg's
Sex Allowance -2,5Kgs
She then gets a 1KG penalty for her Group 1 win as it was against 3yo's
Give everything but up!

I know what your saying titch , and I'm not really clued up to argue with you

But if the minimum weight is 52kg can she get her sex allowance ?

Not sure many 3yo fillies have ran in recent years

i would rather wait and see if she does take her place in the met before backing her...i have heard she is back in joburg so im not altogether sure what her plans are and maybe someone can enlighten us on them ...the paddock stakes is on the 10th of January and if she won that she would carry 51.5kg in the met as the penalty for a group 1 win against the older generation is 2kg..

I know it is dangerous to base selections on one run, but in the Daily News, Legislate beat both Louis the King and Captain America by less than 1.5 lengths - not sure what weight CA will have to carry IF he wins tomorrow - but 28/1 looks huge value imo - and he should shorten depending on how he runs tomorrow. LTK I think has also improved and the 6/1 also looks appealing.

So I have backed those two ante-post and covered my money on Legislate.

I am not in the Majmu or Act of War camps as I'm not convinced about the 3 yr old form and as pirates says there are doubts on whether they (well Majmu at least) will run

So my only other worry would be Futura

Frodo cpt America will carry 57.5kg and you only get a 2kg penalty for winning group 1 races so tomorrow run makes zero difference to the weight he will carry in the met..if he won the the queens plate then he will move up to 59.5kg....so you looking at cpt America getting 2kg from legislate and ltk in the met ...he does look the value at current odds especially for a place

Backing MAJMU this early for the MET could be suicidal methinks. ;)

Very much doubt Sheikh Hamdan would want his eventual valuable broodmare taking on the boys so early in her career.

The fact that she is back in Jo'burg means that the Triple Tiara is up for grabs and the bonus that goes with it, MAJMU has won the 1st leg already. :)

So which 3yo would you rather back Pirates

Act of War carrying possibly 53 KG
MAJMU carrying possibly 51.5 KG

?

If Act Of War wins the classic impressively you would have to think that form is far superior to MajMu`s guineas win

will tell you after the all important canter past  will act of war go 2000m at this stage of his career ?the further majmu goes the better and she still has loads of improvement in her ..act of war probably go cape derby route imo...im hoping and praying that they both come to natal for the winter season
