want' s to gain election points for next year it has droped from £1.29 a lit to 1.179 a lit for unleaded ..that makes it R22.00 per lit and what did you say your price per liter is ......?????

From tomorrow we will be paying R 12-47 per litre.
This should save the average Car Owner about R 250-00 for the month.
Just enough for a bottle (750 ml) of JWB.
Enjoy ! But drink slowly !

61% is in fuel duty, 20% vat. so that's 81% of what we pay goes to the Government not forgetting the yearly road tax plus the money on MOT. Drivers are ripped off to the hilt. So its in the Governments interests to keep the price of fuel high as the less we pay, the less they receive. The minute the price of crude goes up just watch how quickly the price at the pumps rocket up.

Close to 40% of total expenditure by SA government is on remuneration...1 in 4 formal sector jobs in SA is in the public sector...unsustainable in the short-term, medium-term and long-term...
And add to that another (conservatively speaking) 5-10% of pilferage...result is that only +-50% is available for productive use and because those tasked with utilisation are not necessarily the best or most qualified, even more is lost through inefficiency...
Eish...
