The Citizen, Standard Bearer For Racing In Gauteng

Absolutely brilliant Friday addition to publicize The Sansui Summer Cup- From the cover ad sleeve to the front page and 16 page pull out - Exposure galore for Racing and only a blind person would miss the 5 million Pick Six pool . The problem now is to get the other Media houses on board as the ONLY solution to Racings predicament is more Mainstream Exposure - Do that and get the public buy in and the other problems can be sorted out. Well done to Garner, Garner, Milner ,Reid, Basel, Dedekind etc for pushing this and obviously The Citizen Management for partnering with Racing

Great stuff
But mainstream press are finished with racing, it's only news when Frankie sniffs coke or the queen dopes her horses
5% of Londoners questioned after sea the Stars won the Derby had heard of the horse.
30 years ago everyone watched the Derby
My ex never read the sports pages in her puff, read from front to the classifieds then put down .

The Citizen is the Best !
My only complaint is that when you sometimes publish the result of the previous days racing, only horse numbers are used.
At least try and include the Horses' name, at least for South African Races.
I realise it might be a space constraint, but if you do something, THEN DO IT PROPERLY !
BUT MANY THANKS !!
I notice that after removing racing Info from the Beeld, they are now again starting with a small "shitty" little forecast , not really serious or worth anything to a genuine Punter.
