SA punters on UK racing must be good

Judging by the payout of the first race tricast SA punters must know their stuff. It paid R1751.00 in SA. In UK it paid TriCast: £22493.65 so that's around R380K. I would be seriously disappointed if I had won the SA amount and knew about the pay out here.

More indicative of the lack of liquidity in most of the international pools.

By comparison with South Africa the UK is a lot easier a place to find winners.

I also find that they are more inclined to run their races at true paces whilst their betting market is usually a much more accurate indicator. The exceptions to the rule are their early juvenile and sprint races (which I studiously avoid) and (obviously) the big handicaps. Even the latter can be fun as you can speculate a tiny sum on a 'fancy' and do no damage when they inevitably get beaten.

South African punters may also be more used to and, therefore, more skilled at constructing winning exotics whereas UK punters appear to be largely 'each way' punters. This might explain why SA punters betting on UK racing on Saftote tend to generate smaller payouts irrespective as to the size of the pools.
