Anyone know what the stipes report was?
First and second horses both hung causing interference in the last 100m of the race.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: (CvA)
a) The start of this race was delayed due to the presentations after Race 6.
b) Approaching the 1000m CLIFTON SURF (S Randolph) was carried outwards by RIVER GOD (M J Byleveld), which was difficult to settle in the early and middle stages and rolled outwards.
c) At the 100m SUNSET TRIP (R Fourie) was brushed by RIVER GOD (M J Byleveld) which was carried in slightly by BRUTAL FORCE (B Fayd’herbe), which shifted in away from the crop. Shortly thereafter SUNSET TRIPP (R Fourie) had to steady momentarily off the heels of ZAMBEZI RIVER (S Khumalo), which rolled out.
d) ZAMBEZI RIVER (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry was advised. (SN)
e) BRUTAL FORCE (B Fayd’herbe), the second placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Ramsden was advised. (SN)

Not worth any action i suppose...... carried in slightly & brushed, sounds more like a salon. Interference that cost the third placed horse which could have finished second but certainly not worth causing a fuss about. I suppose Richard didn't want to raise an objection this time.

I'm pretty sure the interference did not cost the 3rd horse any place and with the stake attached you can be sure an objection would have been lodged if merited. Third horse was not getting near either of the first 2 but narrowly stayed ahead of the 4th horse. If she had lost her place to the 4th horse I could see a possible case for objection.
