The ride from Lester was great. Moore ' ride was average, what any jock would have done, once his horse jumped and then relaxed. Sampson does it often on Moggytwoshoes. ....
I dont know what all the excitement is about - Is Moore British perhaps...?
I have about a hundred videos of Striker coming from last, over all distances.... And not labouring to the line, but winning going away.
But mention Moreira...... now we talking !

Too right Louis. Both Anton and Anthony said to me that Moreira is without doubt the best in the world.

Gifted. Bonds with a horse immediately and works horse out incredibly quickly.

Well Said Louis the ride was average and imo Superman comes a very close second to the Magic Man as for this Moore bloke not in the same league

Craig,Anton and Louie, your opinion about Joao Moreira compared to Ryan Moore just doesn't
Stack up.
I think you are watching the wrong channels.
Since 2005 Moreira has won
12 Group Ones
15 Group Twos
18 Group Threes
Ryan Moore has won
60 Group Ones
79 Group Twos
88 Group Threes
In my opinion the best jockey riding today,Being British is irrelevant.

Louis
you are no doubt a good trainer and what you have forgotten about horses I am still to find out.
The next time one of your horses has a run with blinkers don't worry to go to your tac room, all you have to do is take them off your head. Moore is brilliant. 2 weekends ago he raced in Melbourne, then back to the UK for a weeks riding, then over to the US to ride in the Belmont then back to Melbourne to ride on Tuesday.
He won all three major races at those meetings. Some of your jockeys wont even get on a plane and fly to cape town from joburg to ride. Moore is one of a kind and to even suggest that he is average is outrageous.

Chicken you have a lot to say on ABC. ...which u are entitled to. But PLEASE don't quote me out of context, to suit your own views and opinions.. At no stage did I refer to Moore as being average. I referred to the video as displayed on this thread and also to the one of Lester. That was not a special ride. If it was, we would have 3 or 4 "special" rides a week here in SA.
So, please take your blinkers off and read my post in context. Or maybe put on some pacifiers and stick to misquoting me.... Or ask me or someone else to read the race in question for you.

And DTF
I have no doubt that Moore has ridden more group wins than Moreira, but please put it into proper perspective -
In 2005 Moreira started his apprenticeship. By 2003, Moore was already champion apprentice. So, your figures from 2005 are maybe a bit unfair.

Fair enough, but if you pick any year,JM is still lagging behind RM.
I'm not the chairman of The Ryan Moore Fan Club,I find him a bit boring personality wise.
A bit like Snookers Steve Davis and Tennis player Andy Murray, but I suppose they can't help being as they are.
But they are all winners with massive determination. What Chicken is alluding to,is that Ryan Moore has this attitude of winning and going anywhere in the world to achieve this.Hes hunger is incredible, where as other top jocks like to do the easier route.

Yip....like the ones from overseas who just can't admit that they never read the post that they refer to , in context..... And that they put words into those posts that were not there.
