Great Crop of Three Year olds this year

It is still early in the season, but I think that this crop is outstanding in terms of the class of the top few, as well as the depth- and this applies to both colts and fillies.
There are already 27 that have been given Merit Ratings of 100 or more, and another 16 between 95 and 99, quite a few of which will no doubt go up in the months ahead.
Contrast this with the 4 year olds, who are not a bad bunch at all- there are 26 rated MR100 or more, and quite a few of those only earned those ratings in the second half of last season.
The fillies this year are particularly exciting. All of Majmu, Alboran Sea, Same Jurisdiction and Carry on Alice are rated higher than last years champion 3yo filly, In the Fast Lane. There are twice as many over 100 this year than last year, and some exciting newcomers that did not race at 2.
Expect to see some fillies take on the colts in the classics, and also the younger fillies to show strongly in the open F&M features, especially as Beach Beauty has retired.

Still have the opinion that Majmu could end up being one of the best fillies i have seen run in South Africa
