Durbanville, 18/10

Going to be bold and say many of the ante-post favourites will prevail.

R1) - Bruno appears to have a valid excuse for he's last run, if he jumps on terms, he should put this field away.

R2) - Dynastic, another, if he gets away on terms should win.

R3) - Vivarani, was running on, on debut, so one must assume the extra will suit. Admittedly the form behind he's debut race is not strong, hopefully he has improved.

R4) - Royal Foundation could be rewarded for consistency. Last time out bumped a touted smart sort in Lohnromance for the widest draw. The Kannemeyer horses are the main dangers, interesting to see Neisius stick with the 3 year old, Belle On Ice, from an even wider draw.

R5) - Zingzilla, another who could be rewarded for consistency. Has only had the one indifferent run since winning the maiden, that being a second run after the rest and being baulked in that race. Bumping the right sort of field here I believe.

R6) - This is a very interesting race. Needless to say a 3 year old will win the race. I am siding with Blow Me Away as he is receiving weight from the others, albeit only 0.5kgs from Parachute Man. This may sound silly but I just feel Blow Me Away has scope for more improvement, than the other 3 year olds. Captain Alfredo could be anything, whilst the breeding would suggest he should get the extra comfortably, I'll take my chances with Blow Me Away.

R8) - Study The Stars should reverse the placings with Tigress Dance with the extra pull at the weights on their last meeting. Hopefully they race STS a lot handier because whilst running on in her last two races, she did appear to have too much to do.

Good punting.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

You are right market-wise (and possibly result-wise). Upper Echelon will start favourite.

Since last Saturday and before next Wednesday a period of 11 days this is the only meeting in the W Cape.
It consists of 4 Maidens and 4 HÇaps of which the highest MR is 85.
There are 78 Runners which give just under 10 runners per race.
Who would be an owner in the W Cape!

I make the swing 2.5kgs. Last time they met STS received 1.5kgs from Tigress Dance, today the difference is 4.0kgs, less the 1.5 = 2.5kgs. Hope I've applied it correctly.

Elvis looking at it your way, I guess technically you're correct, there is only 0.5kgs in it. Just hoping the better draw and they race STS a lot handier will make a difference.
