8000 empty seats last night for their home game against a well supported Roma.
Fans seem to leave in their hundreds before the final whistle in league games.
I've been their twice in recent times, the atmosphere from home fans is very poor.
Have City fans lost their identity, have they gone from noisy neighbour to church mice?

Paul Scholes says,
‘When you come here it just doesn't have a European night feel to it. You go to Liverpool, you go to Old Trafford, you go to Chelsea, they have a special feeling for it.'
Scholes also suggested that the City fans don't appreciate how fortunate they are to be facing Europe's elite clubs.
‘Tonight I don't think there is [a special atmosphere]. I don't think they realise what a big game this is.
‘They've got the team, they've definitely got the players, the quality is definitely there, but do the crowd realise how lucky they are to be in this competition? I don't think they do.’
Another Manchester United legend Rio Ferdiand also hit out at City's fans. The former England captain tweeted: 'How many empty seats are there at the City vs Roma game by the way...big CL game & fans would rather Ramsays Kitchen or something at home'.

The last time that I went to The Etihad we thrashed the rags 4-1 and I even won the airfare back. Apart from the shell shocked prawn sandwich eaters I was the only person in the stadium who punched the air when Rooneys free kick went in. Nothing wrong with the atmosphere that day and all followed by a fantastic Chinese meal in a genuine China Town (dragon arch and all).
8,000 empty seats wasn't good but who really wants to watch a boring Italian team that plays like Stoke City in disguise. These people are football connoisseurs not prawn sandwich munchers on corporate binges.
