How and when do jockeys get paid?

I was finding myself thinking about this last night....

So lets for example take the Durbanville races for today. I know the jockeys get a riding fee per race. That obviously differs for each jock and then they will get a stakes cheque as well for winning or placing.

Will they get paid their riding fees and stakes cheques at different times? Does it lump together and they get paid at the end of the month? Do they get their riding fees and stake cheques for the day on the same day or do they get paid in a few day's time?

Cheers

RG, i would genuinely feel sorry for that horse with my weight......and more importantly......i would probably pull a fat or something trying to get on the horse.......so the horse does seem safe.......along with my current profession
