My small contribution...set weight races only and I have eliminated selections where place odds <1/1
Race 1 - 11, 15,16,17
Race 2 - 7
Race 3 - 5,8
Race 5 - 5,9,11
All the best to all Clanners for Fairview...a really tough venue...

Runners on Friday:
Race 6- Call of the Hunt is the best of my three. A bit unlucky last time when impeded late. Should go close in a similar contest. Do you Dance always tries hard. Strangely, she was put up 4 MR points placed second, while the winner, Take Off was only put up 3 points. Somewhat bizarre. She also has a tricky draw to deal with, but will be running on strongly. Sylvie is better drawn, but I think better over the mile. The trainer disagrees with me and believes she will be effective over this trip. She has a decent draw for a change, so if she sees out the trip, could challenge.
The opponent I am scared of is Sparkling Saphir. She ran 20 lb above her rating last time, and gets no MR adjustment as that was a conditions race. A repeat of that effort will see her win easily.
Race 8- King of the Deep has his second start in PE. His first effort on the poly was disappointing, but he fought the jock and never really settled, and was taken out twice by other runners. If regaining his best CT form, he could challenge in what looks a very open and tricky race.

Race 2 Political Playboy and Combattimento are best in at the weights and should fight this out.
Race 3: Toss the Dice is bred for this trip yet was confined to sprinting in KZN. She looks a big runner here. Aspen Winter is overdue a win and has consistent form and a good draw. These two should suffice for the pick 6 opening leg.
Race 5: shine Like a Star ran a great race in KZN, and warrants respect. Frederick Fox is a good back p from the stable. Of the older horses, Money for Love and So you Think may be best.

PRETTY FLAMINGO - better this trip and more but at 227/100 a 4 place is my Friday Bet.
CIAO CARO - Might turn out to be better than a 73 this season and with Funeka up has a serious e/w chance.
FREDERICK FOX - one of the better PE three-year-olds and will go close to winning
BORN FOR BALLET - Got the tangles last start (thanks Harris) so that blot adds a few points on to her price today - C/d winner with a pole draw - 15/10 a 4 place is worth a serious punt
